Knygos aprašymas

Hindu cosmology had the concept of Yugas and cyclical creation and destruction of the universe. The initial yuga was Satya Yuga which lasted 1,72,800 years. This was the best of the yugas with truth, perfection and one-world religion. The individuals in this yuga were saintly, gigantic, powerfully built, honest, youthful and valorous. The second yuga was the Treta yuga which lasted 12,96,000 years. The virtue became less in Treta yuga. The Emperors became dominant resulting in frequent wars. The oceans and deserts were formed during this period. The third yuga is the Dvapara Yuga which lasted for 8,64,800. The individuals of the Dvapara yuga were tainted and had tamasic qualities. Diseases occurred during this period. The individuals lived for a few centuries less in this yuga. The present yuga is Kali Yuga which started in 3200 BC. There was darkness, lack of virtue, sin and hypocritism in the individuals during this yuga. Global warming due to human activity leads to archaeal overgrowth. The archaeal growth in the ocean beds and release of methane leads to earthquakes and tsunamis leading to catastrophic end of each yuga.
