Knygos aprašymas

The story revolves around two old friends, Parham and Maziar, who meet each other again after years of separation to discuss the past. It all started with a sudden traveling trip by Parham. He traveled to another city in Iran following a romantic break up during which he meets a wise, old man. Parham gradually develops an optimistic, mindful attitude toward life under his influence, replacing his anger and resentment. During their conversations, a historical secret about the existence of Rumi, Genghis Khan and Khwarezima starts to be divulged. Maziar, has become an author and is writing a book entitled Amnesia. It is about a young person who gets struck with amnesia while hiking and later realizes that all humans are suffering from the same problem. No one can recall names, reputations, memories or educational experiences they learned throughout their life. This leads to a new social structure which ties people in new ways as if the world has just begun. The story of talks between Parham and old man with the historic event stemming from Manicheans philosophy happens concurrently and overlaps with the amnesia story.
