Jono Swift is a man that knows loss. He's also a man with a higher risk tolerance than most. Being an investigator of the paranormal and weird, the kinds of jobs he takes carry a certain risk that is accepted as just part of the job. What you might call nightmarish monsters, Swift calls run-of-the-mill adversaries... or friends... or lovers. In Seattle, however, some dangers are bigger than they seem. When an informant turns up dead and the only suspect is a monstrous creature that even Swift can't handle alone, he'll need allies, and that means endangering the few people left that he loves.
