The current economic and financial situation are both uncertain, constantly fluctuating, and the picture is blurred. The confusing nature of this situation means that ordinary people risk being unable to sort the wheat from the chaff. However, one must be aware of the failure of the current financial system, in both rational and moral terms. Critics of the current financial system are numerous and one must take into account many parameters. Despite this acknowledgement, the aim of this book is to find the crux of the issue in the legalisation of interest. After laying the foundations on money and money creation, this work succinctly addresses the culprits behind the prohibition of interest, as well as the alternative offered by the Islamic religion.
