With British occupation of Palestine following World War I, the stage was set for the eventual occupation and control of Palestine by Jewish Zionists following World War II. A close examination of these events before and following Jewish Independence will give the reader a clearer understanding of the difficulties surrounding Arab-Jewish relations today. In addition, understanding Jewish-Christian relationships will give insight into how the U.S. and Western democracies became connected to these continuing conflicts.
