At the turn of the twentieth century, a woman finds herself prisoner of a nefarious hospital in this thriller by the author of Finding Elizabeth. Patty Miller, a paraplegic, is discovered at home barely clinging to life. Her infant son, already dead, lies on her chest still clinging to his mother.
