We want to be happy and successful and to love and be loved, among other goals. 3. It is impossible to achieve our goals without the assistance of others. 4. Therefore, building relationships with others is the key to achieving our goals. 5. Competition is an ever-present fact of life, and we will face many obstacles and failures in our journey. 6. Persistence and determination are the keys to long-term success. The only thing we know for sure is that if we quit seeking our goals, we will lose; and losing should never be an option. 7. Building personal character, strength, and compassion through the use of these rules will allow others to want to have a relationship with us. 8. If we follow the seventeen rules detailed herein and adjust them to our own personalities, we will clearly distinguish ourselves from 99 percent of all others. Be gentlemen or ladies; be loyal and supportive of new relationships; and we will achieve our goals.
