Global Energy requirement is increasing day by day and ways to combat this increasing energy demand and global warming are the need of present era. India being one of the large agricultures¿ nations, there are many different products being produced each year. The farmer¿s suicide is increasing day by day. The reason is in front of us i.e., these agricultural products are not getting proper market value. Lack of cold storage facilities is one of the big reasons of the problem stated above. Many research works are undergoing in different area for improvement in efficiency. This research if implemented practically can help in decreasing the operating cost of cold storage facilities. Reduction in the operating cost can reduce the price of storage in cold storage facility thus more and more people will be able to use and preserve their products. This can help farmers to get proper price for the product they produced. Also, the food product availability in the market can be increased. Efficient design of cold storage system will decrease the cooling load means the load demand of refrigeration system will be reduced.
