Tragedy struck Jake Tordale when his wife was taken from him in a freak car accident. In his devastation he decided to take early retirement and expand his interest in his hobby of photography. His long-time employer Jon was extremely generous in his leaving present, and Jake booked a number of short holidays visiting various destinations enjoyed with his late wife. This culminated in a visit to Kefalonia where he was witness to a cold blooded murder. He encountered a past friend who was a double agent and killer, Anna a CIA agent who recruited him and knew his late brother. His adventures take him to Singapore and Australia, where he meets the beautiful Orchid an undercover Narcotics Officer. He falls in love twice, is left for dead twice, but finally prevails over his arch enemy Tom Gregory who attempts to blackmail the world with contaminated water supplies
