The status of agriculture on the coastal belts in the state of Gujarat should be considered to be of highly significant. The agriculture fields of the region are pertaining to higher and higher salinity ingression due to loss of biodiversity, global warming, climate change and other environmental factors. The impact of these environmental changes will be seen in the agricultural sectors not only quantitatively but also qualitatively. As the salinity will increase, the use of chemical fertilizer, pesticide will also increase which will directly impact on the quality of soil.
