The water cycle or hydrological cycle powered by solar energy and gravity. Our planet warmth from the sun causes evaporation of water from lakes; stream and soils. Solar energy also drive a processes called transpiration-the release and evaporation of water from tiny pores in leaves of plants. Evaporated and transpired water vapour is stored in atmosphere until it condenses and is pulled by gravity back to earth as rain, sleet, snow, hail, dew or frost up to 80% of this precipitated water is returned directly to atmosphere by evaporation. The rest many runoff over land and in to lakes and stream or may soak up in to ground. Some of water that soaks in to ground stay in unsaturated zone. This zone is work or soil layer in which some of the space between particles are filled with air and some are filled with water.
