The book aims to analyze the relationships between sociodemographic characteristics with the level of financial education. The research was conducted with academics from the Applied Social Sciences courses at UNIOESTE-Paraná-Brazil. The method was quantitative. The procedures of the study were the application of questionnaires. The main results indicate that the academics have a good level of financial education, however it is noted that part of the population has difficulties in saving and a small part is in arrears with debts. Regarding the results, it was noticed that some characteristics had a higher correlation with higher levels of financial education. In the gender variable, men have greater financial education. In the marital status variable, single people have a higher level of financial education than married, divorced or widowed people. In the income characteristic, individuals with higher incomes have higher levels of financial education compared to those with lower incomes. As for age, individuals with higher levels of financial education are 20 to 25 years old. The contributions of the study show significant contributions in this area of knowledge.
