The novel Small Misir is full of real situations that present the reality of the past 30 years of the way of living in a country that had extreme poorness and was occupied for years and years. The events are all about the country that has gone through many difficult situations during the time it was occupied by the former Yugoslav Federation. As soon as you finish reading this novel you will find out how important and valuable the political and individual freedom is. Many of the situations described in the novel are the events of the life of the author, his family and friends. Through the events that are described in Small Misir there is presented the way of life in the country, the challenges, the mentality and many other interesting things. After having read the novel you will see how self-destructible the extreme regional ideologies, patriarchal mentality and anti-values are. However, this novel has a happy ending.
