This volume is arranged in chronological sections: Pre-Colonial, Early Colonial and the Revolution (sixteen articles); Early and Antebellum Page County (sixteen articles); American Civil War (twenty-nine articles); World War I (ten articles); Post World War I Military (three articles); Surnames and Genealogical Research Tools (twenty-eight articles); and Miscellaneous (three articles). The first two sections discuss Native American raids, European immigration, travel, slavery and life in early Page County. The Civil War section tells about Confederate women spies, various battles, Loyalist claims, postwar pensions, and Confederate veterans.
