This book furnish a detailed account of L. orbonalis and show the relationship of L. orbonalis population to abiotic factors. The experiment was conducted to observe the seasonal occurrences of L. orbonalis in relation to abiotic factors and assess the efficacy of few commonly used novel insecticides for safer management of noxious insect, L. orbonalis on brinjal crop.In this book we first introduced the brinjal crop.and their world wide distribution, nutritional value and minor pest and losses by pest to brinjal crop yield. This research is carried out with the following objective (i)To study the seasonal abundance of L .orbonalis in relation to abiotic factors.(ii) To evaluate the efficacy of different insecticides against shoot and fruit borer. Fro the observation is found that the incidence and abundance of L. orbonalis is dependent on both climatic parameters and growth stage of brinjal crop.The noval insecticides treated plots found more effective in reducing pest population and give maximum fruit yield. This experiment contain new ideas and strategies for control this insect.Thus this book will be great use to specially students who worked on this insect.
