Ridge deformities are most prevalent in areas of traumatic tooth loss and can significantly compromise aesthetic outcomes. The size and type of defect are two of the main factors to consider when selecting the appropriate treatment modality. Well-defined Prosthodontic needs of ridge improvement may be satisfied in a simple and cost-effective manner with the aid of preprosthetic surgery. Interdisciplinary cooperation is a prerequisite for optimal service and hence the combination of preprosthetic surgery and implants may solve problems that neither of the two disciplines can do alone and will help achieve the desired outcome.
