The special nature of implant dentistry lies in the possibility of creating a second foundation base to achieve the desired prosthodontic outcome. Consequently, it is important to assess and ascertain the patient's anatomical as well as psychological needs and wants. The prosthesis may then be built to achieve these objectives and solve the current issues. The prosthesis may be fixed or removable for the completely edentulous patient, whereas fixed restorations are preferred for most partially edentulous patients. Therapy outcomes are predictable when the method is structured and based on the prosthesis. There are five prosthetic choices accessible in implant dentistry that were proposed by Misch. Two restorations are removable and depend on the quantity and kind of support needed for the restoration; three restorations are fixed and differ in the amount of hard and soft tissue replaced.
