Any of you who were born into a business family know that this type of business works quite differently. Being born into a business family, I had to constantly prove myself to others that I could be a capable leader once the reigns of the business were handed over to me. At work I dealt with certain challenges, learned a lot of lessons, and changed as a person. Working at a family business comes with its own set of challenges, and to navigate through that takes a lot of hard work. I learned a few lessons that will resonate with others working in a family business environment. It may look like my life was all planned out for me, but it really wasn't. With the lessons I learned and the challenges I faced, I learned that I had to decide for myself. You can decide who you want to be, and with these lessons and my experience behind it, you too can learn what it takes to own it.
