Our Scars of Hope

A scar is a mark left by a healed wound. We're all trying to heal, but sometimes the hurt is so deep it seems like it will never happen. No one is immune to the pain that can happen to our hearts. It doesn't care about the color of your skin, your beliefs, or the size of your bank account. This book is about 23 women's heart-wrenching stories. They share their different journeys, and yet have all felt hurt and alone. Their faith in God helped carry them through their dark times, and they want you to know there is healing, comfort, and hope on the other side of brokenness. (Also, in the book, the author offers an opportunity for the reader to contact any of these women for further advice or connection.) ___________ In January 2016, Anna Kay Schmidt attended a Fresh Grounded Faith seminar. She became aware as she listened to Jennifer Rothschild speak, the Holy Spirit was directing her to write the book she had thought about so many times through the years. It is this seminar that gave her the boost to write Our Scars of Hope. Anna Kay Schmidt wears many hats...a wife, mother, friend, church praise team singer, children's bible class teacher, church administrative assistant, home stager, and now, an author. But, her greatest joy is sharing life at home with her husband, Larry and her fur-babies Rocket, Luna & Scrappy.
