The main objective of the book is to determine the weighted average cost of capital and the optimal capital structure of Walmart Mexico and Central America that Walmart should use to maximize the value of its company.In the first chapter, the study problem is presented and supported, and the basis of the research is determined, from which the central theme and approach are derived. Walmart is currently financed with over 90% equity. In the second chapter of the research work, the theoretical basis and rationale are presented. A conceptual structure is developed in relation to the problem and the objectives set out. The third chapter of the document explains the methodological procedures followed in the development of the study. In the fourth chapter, once the aforementioned issues have been analyzed, the results of the research are presented in terms of the presentation and analysis of the results of the calculation of the weighted average cost of capital, and in terms of the calculation of the optimal capital structure. In the fifth chapter of the document, the conclusions obtained from the study are presented first.
