"Mr. Roberts," the voice on the other end of the line said, "I'm sorry to have to tell you this. Wendy Roberts peacefully passed away about eleven pm this evening. I'm very sorry." And with those simple words, the bottom dropped out of my world. I froze with the phone still in my hand. It couldn't be! This must be a dream! What was this woman saying? My Wendy, dead?
