This book is aimed at school students who study Russian for a GCSE exam or any young learner of Russian at the upper A2 / lower B1 level. The 30 texts presented in this book focus on the five themes set by the Pearson Edexcel Examination Body (2017 specification): 1. Identity and Culture; 2. Local Area, Holiday and Travel; 3. School; 4. Future aspirations, study and work; 5. International and Global Dimension. All words in the texts contain stress marks to facilitate correct reading and pronunciation. All texts contain recommended, including higher tier, vocabulary, as well as additional words derived from the same root. At the end of each text you will find thematic questions, which form the basis of the productive skills - speaking and writing.
