Mountains on the Moon

The author of Mountains on the Moon, the late Michael Arthern, spent the first half of his working life as a biology and science teacher. He then became, until his retirement, Head of an Environmental Education Centre where he was mor able to indulge his love of field work. He says: "For as long as I can remember, I have been enthralled by this wonderful environment of land, sea, and sky in which we find ourselves, with its extraordinary variety of animals and plants, both beautiful and weird.
