Knygos aprašymas

Bangladesh is home to one of the richest treasures - prized Black Bengal goats. Goats play an important role in livelihoods of smallholder farmers in Bangladesh as they serve as assets that can be easily liquidated to provide cash in times of need. Black Bengal goats are dwarf goats and are known to be famous for its adaptability, higher disease resistant, fertility, fecundity, early sexual maturity, larger litter size, delicacy of meat and superior skin quality. The research was aimed to characterize and evaluate the productive performances of Black Bengal goat from 73 households at community level in Bangladesh. It was identified that variation in age, coat color and location had a great effect on the morphometry and production of Black Bengal goats. This book would inspire different country peoples to conserve their native goat genetic resources.
