Academic libraries spent less time on ROI (Return on Investment) measures, as they enjoyed a high level of tacit acceptance of the value of libraries among their executives. Today, with increasing demands for proving the usefulness of what they do on institutional scale even academic libraries have to increase their focus on documenting their value proposition and prove their accountability to its stakeholders.
