For the implementation of a knowledge society with the help of a "lifelong learning" the efforts of the European Union require for teachers in the course of their professional career a position determination in the personal two educational forms of education/ basic knowledge and further education/ professional knowledge. If one assumes a future-capable education, the shaping of the future in its elements of future life shaping, crisis situations, a consumer society, future-capable politics and culture, politics of the civil society and the learning society are at disposal. The study is based on personal reflection, further education and teaching. Perspectives of a general didactics complement the considerations.
