Since time immemorial, people have been attracted to hot springs, attributing their waters with medicinal and healing powers. Europe is a recognized tourist destination rich in thermal spas, sustainable and competitive, as it combines health and well-being with the cultural and landscape heritage of each city. In the middle of the 21st century, tourism as a recognized driving sector of the world economy, is experiencing a serious pandemic crisis at global level, with economic, social and health consequences. At the same time, due to confinement measures, there is a clear tendency to look for tourist destinations that promote well-being, wellness and relaxation environments and activities. As a consequence, people will tend to diversify their forms of tourism, seeking to carry out activities that provide them with physical and emotional well-being, in order to promote a healthier lifestyle. The present study will be oriented towards analyzing and understanding whether the innovation factors in the networked thermal destinations observed in the 'European Thermal Networks', contribute to innovation in the 'Termas Centro de Portugal' and 'Termas Porto e Norte de Portugal'.
