Transitorische Momente 

Die ku¿nstlerische Praxis von Olga Holzschuh (lebt und arbeitet in Ko¿ln und Du¿sseldorf) ist von einer intensiven Auseinandersetzung mit den ästhetischen, sozialen und psychologischen Auswirkungen von technologischen Innovationen gekennzeichnet. Ihre Fotografien, Skulpturen und Performances greifen entlang der Fragen von ko¿rperlicher Präsenz und Index eng ineinander. Dabei bildet der transitorische Moment den Kern ihrer Arbeit. Dies zeigt sich nicht nur in ihren Performances - in denen sie Situationen herstellt, die Kontrollpraktiken von Emotionen nachzeichnen -, sondern auch in ihrer Beschäftigung mit formveränderlichen Materialien wie Seife, fotografischen Lo¿sungen und Metall.

hold on ist Holzschuhs erste Monografie und zeigt Arbeiten der letzten fu¿nf Jahre. Die Texte schrieben Juliane Duft und Patrizia Dander.

Transitional Moments 

Olga Holzschuh's (lives and works in Cologne and Dusseldorf) practice is informed by a searching engagement with the aesthetic, social, and psychological impact of technological innovation. Her photographs, sculptures, and performances are closely intertwined around questions of bodily presence and indexicality. The transitory constitutes the core of her work, as is evident not only in her performances-in which she stages situations that reconstruct practices of emotional control-but also in her preoccupation with malleable materials such as soap, photographic solutions, and metals.

hold on is Holzschuh's first monograph and presents works from the past five years. With essays by Juliane Duft and Patrizia Dander.
