There are crisis of drinking water all over the world and ground water is the major source of all, as more than 90% of water is of no use for such purpose. This source is under tremendous pressure caused mainly by human activities. Groundwater also has an important role in the environment: it replenishes streams, rivers, and wetlands and helps to support wildlife habitat; it is used as primary source of drinking water and also in agricultural and industrial activities. Keeping these things in mind and starting the study are from home ground the groundwater quality of various regions of Kachchh district were analyzed. In this primary studies, various physicochemical parameters were analyzed which can be helpful in various studies related future perspective for the betterment of ground water. Specially, in treatment of higher iron content and to reduce salinity of this particular arid region of gujarat.
