In recent decades, geographic information technology has become widespread and applicable in many types of organizations and has gained a wide range of attention in different sectors of society. Identifying the main drivers and applications of geographic information technology in organizations and providing an overview of the applications of geographic information technology in developing countries with a focus on a case study. By analyzing the results of the surveys, the results show that the most important factor of adaptation, complexity, Competitive pressure, government policy, adoption intention, innovation, comparative advantage, security and technological competence. Public and private sector organizations use geographic information technology for customer/resource/risk management, decision support, training, research, monitoring, forecasting, simulation, fit analysis, sustainability, utilization and access. The geographic information system, which is also known as the spatial information system, is used as a system for collecting, classifying, analyzing and managing information related to the land and its various features.
