Summer 1989 in Northern England. Five graduates from Leeds; Andy, Kate, Lester, Sanjay and Carl, bored of their new professional lives, reminisce about their carefree student days. One dull afternoon, Lester comes up with the idea of carrying out a series of dares to spice up their summer. One by one, they embark on the ¿Five Dares¿. However, none of them go to plan and each one requires quick thinking to steer clear of disaster and in some cases, death. Eventually the fourth dare ends in tragedy and the five go their separate ways in fear of being held responsible for their actions, each one dealing with the tragedy in their own manner. A chance meeting in a London café twenty years later reignites the memories of the summer of 1989 and the five are thrown back together for one final dare in a desire to exorcise the demons of the past. But the fifth dare is the most terrifying of all and four of the five are left to wish the past had remained in the past.
