The Global burden of Diabetes Mellitus is increasing on children. Countries like 'India' are now termed as Global Capital of Diabetes Mellitus. Along with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus which presents itself in early childhood, the susceptibility of pubertal and pre-pubertal adolescents to develop Type 2 Diabetes is increasing as they are being subjected to nutritional transition and an obesogenic environment.
