This book focus on development of tuning mechanism for parameters of the fuzzy controller also known as adaptive fuzzy controller. This book provides development of adaptive fuzzy algorithms applied to different process models. The algorithms are tested for various conditions such as for noise, robustness, transient and steady state performance and is compared with the existing techniques. It gives introduction to fuzzy controller parameters i.e. structural parameters and tuning parameters. It also gives methods for computation fuzzy scaling factors from PID parameters. Rule base formation method of fuzzy controller is given along with its effect on the performance on process behavior which gives a pathway for rule base modification scheme. Tuning mechanism based on reference model is provided. Adaptive Fuzzy Control for PI Type fuzzy controller is given through process of PMSM Drive. Stability discussions in case of adaptive fuzzy controller for PMSM Drive is provided. This book gives reader an introductory path to adaptive fuzzy controllers.
