Myths, taboos, misbeliefs and misconceptions become a part of the blood when taken too seriously and inculcated in heart and mind. The social doctrines are mainly because of absence of awareness and lack of education but they are a big hindrance in the way of utilization of dental healthcare services and the road to perfect oral health.
