"Dead Souls" by Nikolai Gogol is a classic Russian novel that offers a satirical and comedic portrayal of 19th-century Russian society. Set in the vast expanses of rural Russia, the novel follows the exploits of its protagonist, Pavel Ivanovich Chichikov, a charming and enigmatic nobleman who embarks on a peculiar and ambitious scheme.
