While she was growing up, she didn't see any representation of dyslexia in a children's book. As the process of the book continued and the passion got deeper, she and Cecilia decided to create this into a series, understanding that there are so many disabilities that need representation in children's books. That was only the beginning of The Empower Empathy Early Series.
