Watching Test cricket at Ferozeshah Kotla Ground of New Delhi since 10-year-old was the testimony of researchers¿ ardent love for cricket. He was lucky to enjoy the patronage of Delhi College, University of Delhi and City Gymkhana Club of Delhi for providing platform to researcher to play a level of cricket. The incipient urge to play higher-level of cricket remained dormant due to time-demanding higher level of Zoology studies. However, the urge to keep interest in cricket alive, media was the natural outpost. His doctoral thesis book CRICKETING KALEIDOSCOPE (Binocular View from the Pavilion) is a humble attempt to gather information on known as well as unknown facets of cricket. However, he has tried to haul wealth of information from the abysses of cricketing ocean of knowledge. Alas! It has been only a miniscule haul. Since net was cast far and wide and have tried to weave together threads of gathered information into a worthwhile well-researched book. It is earnestly hoped that CRICKETING KALEIDOSCOPE (Binocular View from the Pavilion) will open up new frontiers of knowledge for the researchers in times to come.
