19 districts of Bangladesh, containing 28% of the country¿s population and covering 32% of its landmass, including the unique and diverse Sundarban Reserved Forest ecosystem, is facing direct threats from coastal flooding. The changing climate predictions for the current century indicate that the future will bring intense flood events upon Bangladesh¿s coastal region.
