Simple. He hated bullies, bullies of any type. Whether they got their kicks beating their wives, their childhood acquaintances or even their neighbor nations was the same to him. He hated them. Which was strange, cause he wasn't what you'd call a hater. However, with bullies he made an exception! Didn't much bother him that he'd never even met anyone from either Vietnam, north or south, nor that their fight was more about the political. All he saw was a bigger kid out to beat up a little one. So he jumped in his Marine sky fighter then dead into the fray. Ah, but politics is senseless entity. It makes little sense and even when it does, though it seldom will, its brief dalliance with reality isn't what you'd consider a significant conversation, barely a meaningful mention. Somehow he survived Vietnam's hurdles. However, now came more bullies testing his way and the realities concluding the probabilities of survival not so much . . . for everyone.
