Knygos aprašymas

One of the Enhance Oil Recovery (EOR) methods is to use carbonated water injection in carbonate oil reservoirs. Injection of carbonated water in the reservoir transmits carbon dioxide gas to the underground in addition to increasing the oil recovery from the reservoir. This is an essential advantage of this method, and today as an environmentally friendly method is known in the oil industry. One of the mechanisms of carbonate water injection recently mentioned in the research and comprehensive assess in this book is the change in permeability of the reservoir due to the acidic injection of carbonated water and its interaction with the reservoir rock. The use of carbonated water injection method has highest amount of oil recovery and at same time the amount of carbon dioxide storage is highest through reservoir in comparison various studied EOR methods.
