The book posits that the fundamental failure of the Nigeria Nation State to achieve sustainable level of food security arises from the challenges in poor funding of education, poor integration and development of food and agricultural sciences education and training which translate to low human capacity development. The book reviews the state of Nigerian agriculture, food production, agro- industrial development, agricultural academic curricula and consequently acticulates the needs assessment and makes recommendations for the improvement of agricultural curricula and training programmes. Finally the books attempts to develop the links and linkages which appear to represent the best practices in the development of agriculture and capacity for sustainable food security.
