Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly becoming a driving force in the construction industry. This new technology, by providing creative and efficient ways, has the potential to create transformation in all stages of construction, from design and planning to implementation and maintenance. Therefore, the application of artificial intelligence in the construction industry is divided into three categories: design and planning, Implementation and construction, maintenance and operation are related. In each category, it has many different applications; before we discuss the applications of artificial intelligence in civil engineering, it is better to examine what it is and how it works. Artificial intelligence is derived from the English term Artificial Intelligence and is a collection of computer science and advanced technologies. This technology instructs machines and systems to perform tasks and functions that were reserved for humans in the past. These tasks include learning, problem solving, and reasoning, decision making, and understanding natural language. Artificial intelligence operates through complex algorithms and statistical models that are trained on large amounts.
