Knygos aprašymas

The concept of Aquaponics has become very popular in a time when there is an urgent need for conservation of the earth¿s natural resources. Aquaponics can help in growing food and thus help in providing food security to the world. Using this technology, we can rear fish and grow microgreens, both of which can be used as food. In developing countries, Aquaponics has a huge potential as a source of food and as a commercial venture. Aquaponics systems can be set-up on the home-base level as well. This would encourage and enable people to grow their own food. In this technology, less water is consumed as compared to the conventional method of farming. The system of Aquaponics is self-supporting. The nutrients for plant growth are provided by the fish and the plants provide the fish clean water for them to live in. The fish farmed can be used as a vital source of protein. All we need are some expert hand for the installment and maintenance of these Aquaponic farms, and we are good to go.
