Indian medicine traces its roots back to the Vedic period, namely Atharvaveda. During the Vedic time, it was also quite fashionable. To attain this aim he first described all the concepts of ayurveda briefly in Sutrasthana then it proceeds towards specific topics in different Sthana. Sharirsthtana of Charak Samhita is explained just after the Vimansthana because after describing the specific measurements of all the essential tools, techniques and methodologies, comes the second most important subject the diseased person (Atura) and before going further for the treatment of diseases clinician must have a proper knowledge of the human (Purusha) and the universe as the human beings itself represents the universe.
