This book examined the relationship between African spirituality,hHealth beliefs and health behaviour of two hundred (200) undergraduate students from The Methodist University College, Ghana. Its objective was to ascertain if health locus of control(HLC)and health seeking behaviour were influenced by African spirituality in the incidence of a high level of education. The African Spiritual World View Scale, Health Beliefs Scale and Multidimensional Health Questionnaires were administered to participants. Analysis of findings indicate that higher education does not have any significant impact on students¿ African spirituality and that, African spirituality continued to influence students HLC and health behaviour in spite of higher education. These findings emphasize the importance of a critical understanding and integration of people¿s cultural health beliefs and practices into therapeutic interventions and behavioural change programs, as this is essential if meaningful therapeutic intervention is to be achieved. The integration of cultural beliefs and practices into therapeutic interventions and interventions addressing cultural health belief changes were recommended.
