Geomorphology is a branch of natural geography that examines how different natural forms are formed on the surface of the earth and follows the changes resulting from the internal and external factors of the earth on these forms in order to explain their behavior and predict its future. Geomorphology is the science of identifying the shapes and unevenness of the earth. This word is derived from the Greek language and is composed of three components: Geo, which means earth, morpho, which means shape (shape), and Logos, which means identification. Geomorphology can be defined as the systematic and interdisciplinary study of the earth's landforms and their landscapes, as well as the internal and external processes of the earth that create and change the forms.
