The general purpose of Adolescent Psychology: The African Perspective is to provide a comprehensive overview of selected facets of Adolescent Psychology as a field of study. Very few theories are exclusively concerned with the period of adolescence- even though most see adolescence as the pivotal period in the developmental progression.
