It's a story of a man who was born in the Himalayan foothills, nurtured by devoted parents and tutored by many dedicated teachers. There are glimpses of people struggling to get out of poverty in some harsh physical and social environments; of sights and sounds of the ancient, medieval and modern worlds; of changes in the human condition brought about by new technologies, societal values, customs and institutions. The book has in store accounts of travel, joyful sojourns and experiences in countries on four continents. And so are some funny and not-so-funny anecdotes, events and stories.
